Please follow these procedures to submit your nomination:

1. Contact the person you would like to nominate to see if they agree to be nominated.

Terms for each of the Board of Directors positions are two years of service, and begin on May 1st of the year elected. Terms for the Archer Taylor Lecturer are for  that year's Annual Meeting.

Nomination Submission

  • The only requirement for nominating someone for the Board of Directors is that the nominee be a current member of the Society. However, if you don’t know whether or not someone is a member, please nominate them anyway.

  • There also is an additional text box where you may write a few sentences of endorsement about how/why the suggested nominee might be a good choice. Such information can be helpful but is not required; simply submitting a suggestion is sufficient to nominate someone.

  • The Governance Committee assembles a slate of candidates from the suggested nominees. As has been WSFS custom, the entire slate (not individual candidates) will be voted on at the annual meeting with a simple ‘yea’ or ‘nay.’ You need not nominate for all positions.

Please note: the duties described are the required minimum as outlined in the by-laws. Individuals are encouraged to use their position to work for the betterment of the Society.
